Shipping policy
Production Time + Delivery Time
Due to the nature of personalised products, they require time to be made. This typically takes 1-3 working days. Orders placed after 2pm will have this timeframe start from the next working day.
Further details regarding how long production will take are available on each product pages. For items where Next Day Delivery is explicitly stated in the product description, we aim to dispatch them within 24 hours.
After production, items are despatched immediately via the delivery method selected at checkout.
Our current delivery options are:
- Royal Mail 48 (untracked) - this is equivalent to Royal Mail 2nd Class and is a low priority service, which aims to deliver within 4 working days after dispatch. This timeframe is not guaranteed and may be longer. We recommend only choosing this delivery method if you are not in a hurry to get your item.
- Royal Mail 24 (untracked) - This service aims to deliver one working day after dispatch. Please note this is not guaranteed. If you need your order by a specific date, please choose Royal Mail 24 Tracked for a guaranteed delivery timeframe.
- Royal Mail 24 Tracked - This service aims to deliver one working day after dispatch and has full end to end tracking. Please choose this delivery option if you need a delivery timeframe. However, this is not guaranteed.
Products with specific delivery requirements:
- Greeting Cards - are printed and posted separately via Royal Mail 1st Class, free of charge. They include a double envelope and will arrive separately.
- Items with long production times - If your order contains multiple items, we may dispatch items separately.
Important Information To Note:
We are open 9-5pm Monday to Friday and are closed on bank holidays.
Royal Mail do not deliver on bank holidays and delays may occur during strikes and busy periods if this delivery method is selected.
All delivery times are an estimate not guarantees & we cannot be held responsible for orders that may arrive later than the estimated has been selected.
We are doing our best to ensure that all orders are received in a timely manner. However, we ask for your patience and compassion when deliveries may take slightly longer than expected and are always here to help.
In the event of any delays, we will do our best to notify you. However, we cannot control events outside our control such as strikes, pandemics or travel disruption.
If you need an order quickly, please let us know before placing it and we will do everything we can to deliver your order as soon as possible. We recommend you select tracked delivery as this is the fastest delivery option we offer.
Cancellation Policy
We will try and accomodate all requests to cancel your order where possible. However, if your order has entered our automated production system, we will be unable to cancel your order.
Lost & Damaged Orders
If your order has not arrived after 10 working days for Royal Mail 24 or Royal Mail 48, we will deem your order as lost. Please get in touch with us and let us know your order hasn't arrived so we can help.
We do our best to package orders so they arrive safely, however, sometimes they can get damaged. If this happens, please contact sales@thepersonalshop.co.uk with a few photos showing the issue and we will resolve this as quickly as possible for you.
Returned Orders
If your order is returned to us due to a missed delivery or incorrect address, we will contact you to ask if you would like this resent. Please note a postage charge will apply to cover the cost of resending this.
If this is not paid within 30 days or no response is received, your order will be disposed of.
